UNCSA Preparatory School
As a young girl, I grew up going to the Nutcracker, and have beautiful core memories of my Mom taking me to see the Nutcracker at the Stevens Center in Winston-Salem. As a country mouse in the "big city", I was enthralled by the sights and sounds, the beautiful costumes, the music, and the dancing, and it will always hold a special place in my heart.
The Nutcracker Tea ballet presented by UNCSA Preparatory Program is a wonderful opportunity for families to experience the magic of the classic holiday ballet. The perfect way to get into the holiday spirit, the ballet featured beautiful costumes, incredible dancing, and the enchanting music that we all know and love. As an abbreviated version of the beloved Nutcracker ballet, it's geared toward introducing our younger generation to a ballet experience!
There were four performances over the course of two days, and after each performance, the attendees were welcomed to "Clara's Tea Party", featuring light snacks, warm drinks, fun arts and crafts, and a chance to meet and mingle with the dancers.
In addition to the performance photos, Cliff and I set up our mobile studio in one of the backstage dance studios, so we were able to capture the individual beauty of each dancer in their ornate costumes.
I absolutely loved being a small part of documenting this festive weekend!
